Our Team

Matthew Segedy

Matthew Segedy is a retired Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His career spanned over 24 years and specialized in investigations and prosecutions of complex white- collar fraud schemes. In addition to investigating bank fraud, securities fraud, money laundering, mortgage fraud, Ponzi schemes, corporate bust out schemes, and bankruptcy fraud, Special Agent Segedy spent six years on the FBI’s North Texas Healthcare Fraud Task Force. Investigations included fraud and abuse related to Medicare, Medicaid, home healthcare, chiropractic, staged automobile accidents, and the pharmaceutical industry. Special Agent Segedy also served 18 years as an Operator and Team Leader on Dallas FBI’s SWAT team (ancillary duty). Prior to joining the FBI, he worked in the banking and investments industry after receiving his BBA in Finance. He is also a proud veteran of the United States Army (Reserves), having served 10 years as an Armored Cavalry Scout (19D) and Drill Instructor. After retiring from the FBI, Mr. Segedy worked as the Vice President for Compliance for a small nationally chartered bank before starting his own consulting and investigations firm, primarily focused on the healthcare sector.

Anthony M (Tony) Chmiel

Anthony M (Tony) Chmiel is responsible for corporate finance, accounting and human resources. Tony brings 40 years of business leadership and financial management experience to Global Open Wound Care after serving in several C-level positions throughout his career including that of COO, CFO and CEO.  Tony is also a Certified (Financial) Fraud Examiner and has participated as a expert witness with the US Department of Justice in the prosecution and investigation of white-collar financial crimes especially within the HCFA programs Medicare and Medicaid. Tony lives outside of Waco, Texas (south of the Dallas Metroplex) in the United States with his wife of 38 years.   Tony has 3 children, a daughter 34, and twin sons, 35. Tony is a graduate of Texas Woman's University with his BS and MBA and received his MSA (Forensic Accounting) from New England College.  Tony also received his MDiv from The Kings Seminary and served as a Pastor of a Mennonite Chuch in Central Illinois.  He is pursuing his PhD in Analytical Forensic Accounting using OpenAI as a financial examination and analytics tool.

Frank King

Frank King is a retired Supervisory Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His career spanned over 31 years and specialized in general criminal investigations, to include bank robberies and Interstate transportation of stolen vehicle rings. After receiving a transfer to the Chicago Division of the FBI, Special Agent King was involved in the investigation of several International Terrorist groups. Special Agent King transitioned to Foreign Counter intelligence Investigations of Asian countries. After conducting these investigations for approximately 10 years, Special Agent King was promoted to Supervisory Special Agent where he supervised approximately 15 Special Agents in the conduct of Foreign Counterintelligence Investigations. Supervisory Special Agent King was also involved in the protective detail for various U.S. Attorneys General and FBI Directors, when visiting the Chicago area. Before joining the FBI, Mr. King proudly served in the U.S. Army, with one year in South Korea. After retiring from the FBI, Mr King worked for the Department of Energy as a Counterintelligence Officer conducting briefings and debriefing of officials and employees traveling to sensitive areas around the world. This employment required a “Q” security clearance. Mr. King also was employed by the Department of State, and the Department of Defense conducting pre-employment and current employment background investigations. Mr King has possessed a Top Secret security clearance for over 55 years.
